Top 3 picks:
1. Harvest at The Bindery: (All plant-based) This restaurant has earned a special place in my heart. It has a very peaceful vibe and the food is absolutely incredible. Great for date nights or a night out with family. My favorite dish by far is the Harvest BBQ which comes with their homemade cornbread.
2. Virtuous Pie: (All plant-based) This might be my favorite pizza place of all times. They have the most creative selection of all plant-based pizzas with homemade cashew cheese, kombucha, creamy side salads and even vegan ice cream for the dessert.
I have been dreaming of going back to their Portland location or visit their other location in Canada. The first time I tried their pizza, I was so blown away that I messaged them and begged them to open a location in San Francisco! Let’s see if they make it happen.
This place is great for hanging out with friends no matter what their diet is and everyone WILL walk out happy and full!
3. Blossoming Lotus: (All plant-based): My last top 3 choice in Portland is this incredible restaurant. You can sense how much effort they put into the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of their food. I highly recommend their Cheeseburger.
Trying something different:
Afuri: I tried their vegan ramen twice in three days. I am picky when it comes to my ramen, so that says a lot 🙂 They use a hazelnut broth for their ramen which makes it very special. The interior design is very elegant and they have a big open kitchen/bar in the middle.
Breakfast/Brunch and snacks:
A.N.D Cafe:(all plant-based) This place is very down to earth and a good choice for weekend brunch. Both their savory waffles and sweet waffles are incredible.
Kure Juice Bar: Great for a quick breakfast or an afternoon pick me up. They have multiple locations in Portland which makes it super convenient for getting your nutrients in even when traveling.
I love that they use organic ingredients. They have a great selection of juices and smoothie. In addition to that, they have an amazing selection of oatmeals which is my preferred breakfast choice for colder months but surprisingly hard to find when I travel.
I also like getting their probiotic shots to boost my digestion when I’m traveling.
Prasad: Prasad offers a variety of salads, snacks and hot drinks. We stopped by for a hot cocoa and matcha latte on a rainy day and we were happy with the overall experience.
Blue Star Donuts: If you are in the mood for indulgence, this place is worth checking out. They have a couple of vegan options which do not disappoint.
Figlia Americana: This is a cute cafe with a good selection of toasts. I discovered it very randomly on our last day in Portland and tried their avocado toast. Bonus: Their cute pink door is a very Instagramworthy 😉
